Curridabat is one of four BEA partner municipalities in metropolitan San Jose, working together as a cohort since 2018. With support from the Green Building Council of Costa Rica, the city received funding to carry out a a stakeholder-driven action prioritization process.

The Municipality of Curridabat and the Green Building Council of Costa Rica (GBCCR) identified three potential projects: a community center, organic farmer’s market, and retrofit of a national heritage building. The selection process was underway in collaboration with municipal technical staff and authorities with the close of the BEA’s second phase of work.
