Through the Clean Energy Solutions Center and with support from Econoler, Accra received a BEA Leadership Grant in 2019 to develop a locally applicable business model for energy efficiency projects.

The city of Accra has set ambitious plans to review energy audit reports for City-owned facilities; prepare (and periodically update) a list of potential investment projects; perform financial feasibility assessments; analyze proposed project financial and disbursement structure; and prepare the project appraisal report to submit for approval by the Resilience and Sustainability Department.
