Moravia is one of four BEA partner municipalities in metropolitan San Jose, working together as a cohort since 2018. As a member of the BEA cluster in Costa Rica, the municipality of Moravia formally joined the BEA in July 2019 and received support from the Green Building Council of Costa Rica to develop a building efficiency action plan.

BEA engagement in Moravia has included deepening contact with the technical staff and authorities from the Municipal Council, and organizing a kickoff workshop. The municipality has led the stakeholder selection of the policy and pilot project they intend to pursue.
